Riverton Community Library is a joint use school and community library for RDHS students and residents of and visitors to the area. It is a free service provided jointly by the Libraries Board of South Australia, Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council and the SA Department for Education.

RUBBISH COLLECTION, RECYCLING
General rubbish collection (Red lid bin) is provided fortnightly on alternate THURSDAYS to Riverton and Rhynie.
Green waste/FOGO collection (Green lid bin) is provided on alternate WEDNESDAYS to Riverton and
THURSDAYS to Rhynie.
Household recycling collection (Yellow lid bin) is provided fortnightly on alternate FRIDAYS to Riverton and Rhynie.
RIVERTON SATELLITE WASTE TRANSFER STATION
Residents may dispose of waste at the Riverton Satellite Waste Transfer Station for no cost during operating hours. (opens fortnightly on Sundays 10am-2pm)
Located on Bruce Road opposite the Duck Pond.
Note: The Riverton Waste Transfer Station will be CLOSED ON CATASTROPHIC FIRE BAN DAYS and CHRISTMAS DAY.

Clare Waste Transfer Station, on Bennys Hill Road, is available for use at no cost to residents for household rubbish. Opening days and hours are: Thursday 9am-12.30pm & 1-4.30pm; Friday 9am-12.30pm & 1-5pm; Saturday 8-11am; Sunday 9am-12.30pm & 1-4pm. Closed on Catastrophic Fire Ban Days.

RIVERTON SOLDIERS WAR MEMORIAL SWIMMING POOL
The Riverton Outdoor Pool is located on the Barrier Highway within the Recreation Grounds adjacent to the Caravan Park in beautiful Riverton South Australia. The outdoor pool facilities are seasonal and open on November 10th – March 31st 2026
