Riverton Community Awards
The Riverton Community Awards acknowledge the unsung heroes of our community who through their contributions make our town of Riverton a better place. These individuals and organizations offer outstanding service each day and enable our town to be stronger as a result of their tireless efforts.
Contributions and community service can be made in any areas that support the advancement and wellbeing of our town in fields including, but not limited to, education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and well-being of our community.
Categories
Community Hero/Champion
This is presented to someone making an extraordinary contribution to the community and may recognize the nominee’s achievements in the year immediately prior to receiving the award, as well as their past achievements and ongoing contribution to the community.
Exceptional Primary/High School Student
This is presented to a young student who shows outstanding leadership and initiative in contributing to their school and/or the local community.
“Heart of the Community” (Event/Organization)
This is presented to a group/organization delivering outstanding work on an event or project for the community during the past calendar year.
