Lions honour Charter Member

The Lions Club of Gilbert Valley honoured their longest serving member by presenting

him with a plaque, signifying that he was a 'priviledged member'. Lion Stan Rowett was

a charter member when the club was first in 1969. He has served in many board positions,

including President, and is still willing to put his hand up when there is work to be done.

President, John Lloyd, in making the presentation at the club Christmas Dinner, paid tribute

to the outstanding Lion that he has been.

Now a permanent resident in the Riverton Hospital, along with his wife Doss, John thanked

them both for the contribution they have made to Lions Clubs International with their

dedicated work and effort.
