Neighbours Day
Sausage Sizzle and Salads
The Riverton Community Management Committee has agreed to hold this on a quarterly basis to not only welcome new visitors to Riverton and district but also to encourage residents to bring their neighbours, particularly those who may not have a large circle of friends or family in town.
We will soon decide on the dates for these events in order for you to put them in your calendar. We have a great community here in Riverton and we believe that this will be supportive of good neighbourly relations among all residents.

Shed and Garden
‘The Shed’ is situated at the old Council Depot on Oxford Terrace. The Shed contains an awesome array of equipment to handle all manner of work and maintenance that you would expect of a professional handyman service. The men who attend are happy to talk to anyone about small maintenance jobs around town and over a number of years have made a difference to the community.
An important aspect of ‘The Shed’ is the fellowship that the guys share; a cuppa at the shed is far more than just a cuppa. The Main days for the Shed are Wednesday and Thursday between 10 & 2.
We are always looking for new members to join the group.
Any queries, please contact - Bob Tee 0447513169
‘The Garden’ is situated at the old Pony Club on Mill Street. Over a number of years many people have benefitted from the produce and some have been involved at the Garden with all that a garden requires - sowing, weeding and cultivating to eventually reaping the produce. An ambitious plan is in place to grow enough vegetables to not only provide for an ongoing supply for residents to eat good, healthy, fresh vegetables, but also to hold regular Open Days and an annual Community Vegetarian Feast.
There are a group of committed gardeners who each week tend and tidy the garden so that it can also be a pleasant place to walk around. The main day for the Garden is Tuesday between 8 & 10.
We are always happy for people to visit or volunteer for a couple of hours each week.
Any queries please contact Peter Fletcher 0415 763 516
